Tim Wanders joined Motive Partners in 2023 as a Principal on the Venture Investment team.

At Motive, Tim is responsible for analyzing and executing investment opportunities with a focus on identifying trends and growth for Motive portfolio companies. Tim is a Board Member of Vega, Titanbay, Corastone, Upvest, Oper, and DFNS and a Board Observer of Valstro and Flanks.

Prior to joining Motive, Tim was an Executive Director at ABN AMRO Ventures, a venture capital fund focusing on early stage fintech investments in Europe and the US. He co-built the franchise as the fund’s second hire, supporting the fund from €10 million to €150 million AUM and making 25 fintech investments, along with eight successful exits. Prior to ABN Amro, Tim was the Co-Founder and CEO of a venture backed startup in the mobility tech segment.

Tim began his career in private equity working for a family office focused on a buy-and-build strategy in the European automotive segment.

Tim holds both a MSc in Finance, as well as a BSc in International Business Administration, from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
