Rob began his entrepreneurial career at age 24, founding Cimad Consultants, where he developed one of the earliest real-time, straight-through processing (STP) solutions for securities transactions – a platform that became the backbone of European clearing and settlement. Under his leadership, Cimad evolved into one of Europe’s leading consulting and software firms, employing more than 1,400 people before its acquisition by IBM, where Rob was appointed Global General Manager of Securities and Capital Markets.

At age 34, Rob founded Capco, one of the first consultancies to specialize in financial services technology, working with global institutions to reduce operational inefficiencies and modernize infrastructure. Capco grew into a global leader with more than 5,000 professionals across North America, Europe, and Asia. The firm was later acquired by FIS (NYSE: FIS), where Rob served as Executive Vice President of Global Financial Solutions, overseeing nearly $3 billion in revenue, including the company’s top 200 largest U.S. banks. He also led enterprise strategy and oversaw FIS’s $9 billion acquisition of SunGard in 2015, one of the largest fintech transactions to date.

The following year, Rob founded Motive Partners – his third entrepreneurial endeavor and boldest to date – with a vision to build a private investment firm focused exclusively on financial technology. Motive’s ecosystem-driven approach, anchored in collaboration among world-class Investors, Operators, and Innovators, has established the firm as a key architect of the next generation of wealth management and private markets infrastructure.

Throughout his career, Rob has been driven by a singular mission: to reduce friction and drive digitization across financial services. His vision – rooted in ecosystem economics and collaborative innovation – continues to define how financial institutions modernize, connect, and grow in the digital age.
