Renée Berman is a strategic leader in digital assets with over two decades of experience driving transformational change across capital markets, digital assets, and financial infrastructure. At Motive, she assesses blockchain capabilities of portfolio companies, with a deep-dive on commercial viability through direct advisory work across Motive’s portfolio and its ecosystem.
Renée currently consults with financial institutions on digital asset strategy, while partnering with Layer 1 blockchains, start-ups and industry associations to increase adoption of their blockchain solutions through business development, go-to-market execution, and growth strategies to drive revenue, scale operations, and strengthen organizational impact.
More recently, as a Managing Director in Digital Assets at The Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC), Renée led initiatives aimed at advancing the adoption of tokenized real-world assets by reimagining the post-trade ecosystem. From collaborating with Euroclear and Clearstream on widely circulated industry white papers to guiding efforts to explore the tokenization of DTCC’s eligible securities, Renée helped translate ideas into actionable strategy and market impact.
Previously in her career, Renée led Capital Markets Strategy at Broadridge where she drove strategy, corporate development, and strategic initiatives. Before that, Renée held numerous roles at Credit Suisse, including COO of Equity Derivatives, where she managed a $100M budget, optimized derivatives operations, and led regulatory transformation programs, building on early career training at J.P. Morgan, Bain & Company, and Goldman Sachs.
Renée has an MBA from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago, and an undergraduate degree from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
