Ramin Niroumand joined Motive Partners in 2023 and is a Partner on the Investment team and Head of Ventures.
As a member of the Motive leadership team, he is also a member of the firm’s Growth & Buyout Investment Committee and Ventures Investment Committee.
At Motive, Ramin leads the early-stage investment arm for the firm and is responsible for ventures strategy, identifying trends, sourcing, deal origination and execution of investment opportunities with a focus on early – pre-seed to Series A – where Motive’s knowledge of the financial system creates competitive edge to drive value creation across the firm’s portfolio companies. Ramin brings extensive experience as an investor and operator, with a track record of scaling and supporting high-growth financial technology businesses.
Prior to joining Motive, Ramin founded embedded/capital, a Berlin-based early-stage financial technology investment firm, which was acquired by Motive Partners in February 2023, to form the early-stage arm of the firm’s integrated investment platform.
Ramin is also the founder of finleap, a leading fintech company builder, which, between 2014 and 2021, built or invested in 15 ventures and developed over five corporate joint ventures and service companies. As the first European fintech ecosystem, finleap played a key role in driving the disruption of large legacy sectors including banking, insurance, and wealth management.
Ramin started his career as a consultant at Deloitte before building the innovation department at DKB, the largest internet bank in Germany.
Ramin holds a BSc in Management Information Systems from HWR Berlin.
