James King joined Motive Partners in 2022 and is a Director on the Create team.

James' focus is on guiding the technology direction and leadership across the portfolio and partners, as well as the delivery of technology products for Motive’s clients and innovation.

 Prior to joining Motive, James was a Founder at Yobota where he built a cloud based, white label multi-tenant core banking system and as a Group Founder at Chetwood Financial Group. James filled the position of Yobota's COO with responsibility for the operational, platform support, IT security and HR aspects of the 85-person business in addition to leading the technology direction of the platform. Prior to that he has worked at various financial institutions including LCH, Credit Suisse, ABN, Bear Stearns, and Lloyds Bank, implementing front to back trading and clearing systems and wealth management platforms.

James began his career working in UBS' graduate program providing the investment bank and group's boards with T-1 financial reporting and supporting the highly respected financial education team originating from O'Connor.
