Alastair Barber joined Motive Partners in 2018 and is an Industry Principal.

Alastair is involved with portfolio companies across all stages of the deal lifecycle, including pre-deal due diligence, value creation planning, and leading post-deal value creation execution initiatives.

Prior to joining Motive, Alastair spent over seven years at Capco, where he was a Managing Principal in the Capital Markets practice. He also led the firm’s Business Strategy and Target Operating Model (TOM) capability in the UK, delivering large-scale strategy and TOM engagements for leading financial institutions. Earlier in his career, Alastair spent five years at Accenture in the Capital Markets practice, where he supported end-to-end transformation initiatives and business architecture design for several investment banking clients. He began his career at Atos Origin as a software specialist.

Alastair holds a BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering & Architecture from the University of Leeds and a Diploma from the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI).
