Raunak S. Sainani joined Motive Partners in 2019 and is a Vice President on the Motive Investment Team based out of the New York office. At Motive, Raunak is responsible for sourcing, analyzing and executing investments as it relates to technology companies that enable the financial economy.

Prior to joining Motive Partners, Raunak was an analyst in the Investment Banking Division at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. He began his career as a generalist in Los Angeles where he worked on a combination of M&A, capital raising (debt & equity), and strategic advisory opportunities with a particular focus on financial technology. He then transferred to New York where he focused on M&A advisory within a variety of industry verticals and gained deal experience across a diverse set of deal structures.

Raunak earned a B.A. in Economics concurrent with a M.A. in Finance via an accelerated program from the Robert Day School of Economics and Finance at Claremont McKenna College.
