Alex Sion joined Motive Partners in 2022 and is a Managing Director & Head of Memberships based out of the New York office. At Motive, Alex is responsible for our strategic partnerships with financial institutions on the Motive Create Team.

Alex brings over 20 years’ experience in financial services as an industry executive, a fintech start-up founder, and a consultant leading practices in both banking and management. Prior to joining Motive, Alex helped architect and lead the approach to corporate innovation for global consumer banking at Citi. He worked on incubating new concepts, making bold investments, transforming culture, and bridging start-up and incumbent through partnership. Previously, Alex led Chase Mobile Banking at JP Morgan Chase and mapped out the transformation from branch-led to mobile-first. Prior to this, Alex co-founded Moven, the world’s first neobank, which now powers the mobile banking experience for millions of customers worldwide. Alex is an active mentor for 500 Start-Ups and has lectured on innovation, fintech, and digital strategy at Georgetown, Wharton, Columbia, and Northwestern.

Alex earned a BA in Political Science from Yale University.
