Sunny Tam joined Motive Partners in 2018 and is a Managing Director on the Finance and Compliance Teams based out of the New York office. Sunny brings over 20 years of experience within the financial services and private equity sectors, and is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Fund and Co-investment treasury and operational functions, financial and investor reporting, as well as the quarterly valuation of the portfolio.

Prior to joining Motive Partners, Sunny served as Senior Vice President at Torchlight Investors, where he managed the Fund Accounting Group and helped build the Compliance function. Prior to Torchlight Investors, Sunny was an Assistant Controller at Mayer & Hoffman Capital Advisors. Previously, Sunny was a Fund Accountant within the Real Estate Investment Fund Group at Tishman Speyer Properties. He began his career as an Auditor at BDO, focusing on the retail and financial services sectors.

Sunny earned a B.S. in Accounting and Finance from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
